Chalk Bluffs Energy

A unique “All of the Above” energy generation project proposed in Weld County, CO and Laramie County, WY.

The project uses complementary batteries, wind and solar resources to deliver reliable power to the region.

Chalk Bluffs Energy is a $1.67 billion dollar infrastructure project that will bring significant economic benefits to the region, while preserving its ranching heritage and respecting private property rights.

Why “all of the above” Energy?

Chalk Bluffs Energy builds on the region’s tradition of national leadership in domestic energy production. By combining different energy resources, the project will produce reliable energy to benefit the region’s electrical grid. Project resources include:

  • 300 MW solar

  • 428 MW wind

  • 500 MWh Battery storage (BESS)

  • Ancillary transmission and substation facilities

Chalk Bluffs Energy: Location

  • Location: Northern Weld County, CO and southern Laramie County, WY in between US 85 and SH 390..

  • Private Land Ownership: 97% of the project land is leased through long-term agreements with private landowners.

  • Current land use: Ranching, which can continue with proposed energy infrastructure.

Our Approach

Enyo Energy is a private energy development company founded in and focused on the Intermountain West. We develop projects that create local value, support economic growth, and contribute to a secure and reliable energy grid.

We work with power purchasers to determine the right energy mix – natural gas, solar, wind, nuclear, geothermal, battery storage – that will most reliably and efficiently meet demand.

We are staunch proponents of U.S. homegrown energy and consistently prioritize energy and battery technology from U.S.-based manufacturers. We believe in community collaboration to ensure the greatest benefit to all stakeholders.
